The Rubens [Lay It Down]
My boyfriend has been going on for ages about The Rubens, so I thought I should probably check them out. Dude’s got an alright sense of music taste, I’ll tell ya! The Rubens are a 4 piece hailing from Sydney, consisting of 3 brothers and a childhood friend on the drums. Considering they’ve only been jamming since February 2011, these guys are pretty decent! “Lay it Down” is one of the smoothest tracks I’ve heard in a while, full of indie-blues rock goodness and copious amounts of soul. The band’s also been featured as Triple J’s Artist of the Week, so check em out!
